Kenneth S. Rappaport
Kenneth S. Rappaport is a Partner at Rappaport Osborne & Rappaport, PL. Mr. Rappaport has been representing debtors, creditors and businesses in the areas of bankruptcy filing, creditor work-outs and asset protection for over 40 years. He was the Chapter 11 trustee in a prominent case dealing with a substantial amount of property in and around downtown West Palm Beach.
He lectures frequently on issues involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, debtors’ rights, general bankruptcy issues, ethics in bankruptcy and has testified as an expert in the field of bankruptcy. He is Board Certified in both Business Bankruptcy Law and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.
He is highly experienced in representing both debtors and creditors in contested matters and adversary actions, including objections to exemptions, objections to discharge and dischargeability; fraudulent transfer actions; preference actions and tax dischargeability issues. Mr. Rappaport specializes in both consumer and business Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. He has handled numerous reorganization cases and is well versed in complex Chapter 11 litigation.
Mr. Rappaport has handled many bankruptcy appeals in both the U.S. District Court and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been lead counsel in various reported cases. Mr. Rappaport is also a certified bankruptcy mediator and has successfully mediated dozens of cases.
